Indonesia Culture Park
Taman Nusa Cultural Park is one of Bali’s most unique cultural attractions, offering aninspiring and educational day out for the whole family throughout its 15-hectare site in Gianyar filled with Indonesia heritage. The park’s vast grounds are filled with enclosed and open-air displays, comprising a collection of 60 authentic traditional houses in their recreated compound settings, together with a variety of exhibits from islands across the Indonesian archipelago.
Not only will visitors get a broader sense of the nation’s history, they will also get a fascinating glimpse into the way of lives on the many disparate islands that is nowadays collectively called Indonesia. Taman Nusa Cultural Park is located within the local community of Banjar Blahpane Kelod in Gianyar’s Sidan village, only a 60-minute transfer east from the Bali airport.
journey at Taman Nusa Cultural Park starts at an introduction room called Pesona Indonesia, filled with photo prints and artefacts detailing the extraordinary diversity found on Indonesia’s many islands. Nearby is an auditorium where Bali’s famous Barong dance performances are held.
An Indonesia historical tour up next lets you explore Indonesia through the ages, from Bronze Age to kingdom era as depicted by an impressive scaled-down replica of Borobudur Temple. After learning about the history of this sprawling region, the Cultural Village awaits where visitors can explore a collection of traditional houses to get an insight into the day-to-day lives of local people through the ages.
